PLE kicks off, three arrested over malpractice

Oyam District, where the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has arrested three individuals for attempting to bribe a Primary Seven scout. The arrests took place in Lira, after police intervened following the bribery attempt.

Today, a total of 817,885 Primary Seven candidates across Uganda have begun their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). Speaking to the press, North Kyoga Regional Police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema confirmed the arrests and provided details of the operation. The suspects are now held at Lira Central Police Station.
