Karamoja schools rely on providing meals to attract learners

Education in the Karamoja Sub-region is still below average compared to the rest of the country. This is partly due to poverty and insecurity. Currently, schools are relying on providing meals to attract learners who would otherwise be involved in other activities such as mining and cattle raiding.
