Ssenyonyi dismisses allegations of receiving ‘illegal’ money

The Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Joel Ssenyonyi, has revealed that four parliamentary commissioners have illegally awarded themselves 400 million shillings each as a “service award.” He denied receiving any such payment himself, calling the accusation propaganda meant to tarnish his image, and said he would return the money if it ever appeared in his account. However, Parliament’s administration denied his claims, asserting that no such payments had been approved.
