President Museveni firm on ‘protecting the gains’

With nominations now officially open, focus shifts to the candidates’ campaign promises and visions, beginning with President Museveni. After his nomination today, President Museveni questioned why young Ugandans continue to seek jobs abroad, particularly in the UAE, when Uganda has the potential to create employment opportunities in the country. He emphasised that his priorities include fighting crime and corruption, improving healthcare, and addressing other critical national issues, following his meeting with the Electoral Commission.
