More than 20 presidential aspirants are requesting the Electoral Commission to extend the nomination period for presidential candidates ahead of the 2026 general election. This comes after some of them were disqualified from the nomination process for failing to meet certain requirements, such as obtaining signatures from all the necessary districts.
