Now in its third week, the nationwide strike—sparked by dissatisfaction over inadequate and delayed salaries—has left government classrooms empty since it began on the 15th of last month. Rev. Samuel Kanyike, Vicar of St. Stephen’s Church Kisugu, delivered his appeal during a dedication service for Senior Four candidates at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono. He warned that continued silence from the government could result in even greater academic setbacks, especially for students preparing for final examinations.
