Relocated families in Bunambutye camp decry separation and broken homes

As the government’s relocation exercise for people displaced by landslides in Bududa, Bulambuli, and Sironko districts continues, several challenges have emerged.

In Bunambutye Resettlement Camp, residents report that their families are breaking apart due to the separation of men and women into different sections of the camp.
This arrangement, they say, has disrupted intimacy between couples and undermined the ability to live and function as families.
