Sam Mugumya lawyers run to court to file a habeas corpus

Lawyers for Sam Mugumya, a longtime close associate of veteran politician Kizza Besigye, are preparing to file a habeas corpus petition to demand his immediate release and production by the state.
Mugumya was reportedly arrested by plainclothes security personnel on Tuesday in Mbarara City and driven to an unknown destination. His close associates believe he is in the hands of the army, but the UPDF has expressed ignorance about his whereabouts.
