Rebecca Kadaga, addressing delegates during her campaign for NRM’s 2nd Vice Chairperson (Female) position, accused the party’s CEC elections of being tainted by bribery, intimidation, corruption, and abuse of authority.
She alleged that delegates received iPads, phones, and 300,000 shillings each, in addition to facing threats. She called on them to reject those responsible for these actions.

In response, her contender, Speaker Anita Among, did not comment on the allegations.
Instead, she pledged to advocate for a salary increment for all local government leaders and to mobilize support for her party if elected to join the CEC.
