Serere farmers struggle as Mafabi promises agricultural revival

In Serere District, farmers are grappling with the collapse of orange projects after failing to secure reliable markets for their produce. Cassava growers, too, face limited access to buyers—challenges that have left many struggling to make a living. During his campaign in Serere District in the Teso Subregion, FDC presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi pledged to renew the agriculture sector by promoting value addition and expanding market access for key crops such as cassava and cotton.
