Joel Ssenyonyi, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, has accused the government of lacking evidence against supporters of the National Unity Platform who were jailed by the Court Martial.
He says the evidence was concocted to keep opposition supporters in prison and break their spirit to support the party.

Ssenyonyi’s comments came after the Deputy Attorney General told Parliament that they still needed time to transfer the case files from the Court Martial to civilian courts, as the Supreme Court ruled in January this year.
