The Uganda boxing team returned yesterday from the Africa Zone 3 Boxing Championship in Kenya, where they won 15 medals, finishing second overall behind Congo. The boxers have urged the government to recognize and reward their efforts, as is done for athletes in other sports. Meanwhile, stakeholders have called on the team to continue working hard to restore Uganda’s former boxing glory.
