Uganda clinches six medals at annual badminton tournament

Uganda has won a total of six medals at the Uganda International Badminton Championship, which concluded this afternoon at the indoor arena in Lugogo. Uganda was eliminated in the singles events but managed to secure two silver medals in the women’s doubles events with Fadillah Shamikah and Tracy Naluwooza. Husna Kobugabe, Muzafaru Lubega, Mable Namakoye, and Shamsa Mbira also won bronze medals in their respective doubles events. Ramu Rujura from India claimed the gold in the women’s singles event, while Hein Htut from Myanmar emerged victorious in the men’s singles event, among others.
