Why Sembabule is considered a political battlefield

Uganda has 353 directly elected parliamentary constituencies, with 146 additional seats for District Woman Representatives. Of these, Sembabule District accounts for four directly elected parliamentary constituencies and one seat for District Woman Representative. In the following report, NTV’s Daniel Kibet analyzes the hotly contested constituencies in Sembabule and why the candidates there are fighting hard to either join Parliament or retain their seats in the August House come 2026.
