MINING RARE MINERALS: Uganda second to China globally?
It is expected according to the government that Uganda will become the second-largest producer of rare metals after China come 2024 when the 100 million dollar mine in Eastern Uganda kicks off. Rare metals are used especially in electronics and space equipment.
