IMPACT OF COVID-19: Central bank worried, Equity bank rebrands
For any distress on the banking sector resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, for now, might be the proverbial tip of the iceberg as Bank of Uganda is worried about how things will look like when the true impact unfolds. Speaking during the unveiling of the new Equity Bank Corporate logo, the Executive Director Supervision at the Bank of Uganda Tumubweino Twinemanzi said, the currently relatively low non-performing loans at 5.6% cannot be celebrated.
