Smallholder farmers struggle to benefit from Agricultural technologies
The managing director of ASIGMA Uganda, a financial advisory and management firm that leverages data and technology to add value to businesses, says the majority of smallholder farmers being introduced to agricultural technologies may not be benefiting from them. He adds that the tech entrepreneurs he has interfaced with only have several registered farmers but cannot defend the impact on the ground regarding the usage of these solutions. He was speaking at the Market Systems Development Conference held this morning in Kampala.
