Tech experts advocate for software programming training
Players in the technology space, especially software engineering and web development, are advising the government to channel part of its ICT budget allocations into training software programmers and take advantage of the country’s growing young and tech-savvy youth. Mr. Michael Niyitegeka, the Executive Director of Refactory, also encourages young people to seize opportunities to gain skills as software engineers, noting that one doesn’t need a university degree to become one.
