UEGCL to generate solar, deepening renewable power production
The Uganda Electricity Generation Company will soon add solar to its hydroelectric power production, as a means of expanding the country’s energy mix. This is according to Proscovia Njuki, the board chairperson UEGCL, who was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of a safety campaign, as part of the global standards on dam safety, to which Uganda is party.
