Uganda’s power transmission capacity faces rural challenges
Uganda’s capacity to transmit all the power it generates could eliminate surplus or idle energy, according to Baguma Nyamutale, Managing Director of the Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company (UECCC). However, challenges such as difficult terrain and limited funding continue to hinder power transmission to rural areas.
