8000 displaced from their homes due to floods
Over 8,000 people in Ngariam County in Katakwi District live in desperate conditions after flash floods destroyed their homes and crop gardens following torrential rains that have pounded the area for the past three weeks. The floods that have caused water logging have also made many villages inaccessible forcing residents to seek refuge in Churches, Schools, and trading centers. Sports State Minster Peter Ogwang was on hand and is now appealing for assistance for the locals.
