A group of lawyers were blocked from accessing court in the trial of Kizza Besigye and Obeid Lutale
A team of lawyers arrived at the Court Martial in Makindye in the morning ahead of a case involving Kizza Besigye and Obeid Lutale Kamulegeya, who were allegedly abducted by Ugandan security operatives in Nairobi on 16th November. Besigye and Kamulegeya face charges related to national security and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. The lead lawyer, Martha Karua, Erias Lukwago, and other lawyers were blocked from accessing the court.
