Among says MPs should not worry about travel bans
Parliament has criticized the National Unity Platform Party President, Robert Kyagulanyi, for his recent remarks on homosexuality. In a recent interview with the BBC in London, NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi stated that Parliament was influenced by President Museveni into passing the Anti-Homosexuality Act to target the Opposition. The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, asked the MPs not to be threatened by visa cancellations, giving the example of her experience with the Governments of the United States and the United Kingdom. Kyagulanyi traveled to the UK after the country lifted a 10-year visa ban against him for recording a song critical of homosexuality.
