Bible Society calls for Braille literacy, launches Lusoga Bible
The Bible Society of Uganda has called for increased collaboration in promoting braille literacy and enhancing access to scriptures for persons with visual impairments. The call was made during the opening of the United Bible Societies Persons with Visual Disability Africa Meeting, which has attracted delegates from over 12 countries worldwide. The theme is "Beyond Sight: Uganda Bible Society Summit on Scripture Accessibility for the Visually Impaired." Meanwhile, the Bible Society of Uganda has announced that it will launch the first Lusoga Braille Bible this week.
