Bus operators agree to 18% VAT for Park space
Bus operators in Namayiba and Kisenyi terminals have reluctantly agreed to pay an 18 percent VAT for the space they rent in the parks. Most of them had been blocked from exiting until they paid the Uganda Revenue Authority. URA spokesperson Ibrahim Bbosa says only those buses that rent space are paying this tax because the owner of the terminal is required to remit the VAT.
