Butaleja schools struggle to feed learners
Authorities in Butaleja district in eastern Uganda say the high rate of school dropouts can be partially attributed to the inability of learners to feed at school. The district LCV Chairperson, Micheal Higenyi, says many parents have failed in their responsibility of ensuring that their children access meals while at school, a factor that has led to poor academic performance in the district.
