ENFORCING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: Over 700 arrested, hundreds of motorcycles impounded
In a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19, the police have recently cracked down on those abusing curfew restrictions. The operation led to the impounding of over 2,000 motor cycles, as well as over four hundred vehicles, across the country. Addressing the media at Naguru Police Headquarters, Kampala Metropolitan spokesman Luke Owesigyire confirmed that a further 700 people are also in custody after they were arrested for various offenses, including those picked up in city bars.
