Environmentalists partner with residents to restore river
Environmentalists in Mbarara city have joined a drive to restore River Rwizi through collecting plastic waste and garbage from the critical water body. According to the Mbarara City Resident Commissioner, its crucial for local communities in Ankole region to conserve and protect the environment especially the endangered river Rwizi, which is the major water supply in Mbarara City and nearby districts.
