Evelyn Anite on parish leaders' call for Museveni to contest in 2026 | INTERVIEW
NTV has learned that local parish leaders have asked President Museveni to contest for the 2026 presidency, a move that would make him one of the longest-serving presidents in Africa. According to State Minister for Investment Evelyn Anite, who has previously been at the center of controversies surrounding the president’s long stay in power, the petition came during the president’s tour of various projects developed under the Parish Development Model, a program introduced by the government to eradicate poverty. Sudhir Byaruhanga spoke to Evelyn Anite.
