Experts weigh in on possible implications of EU sanctions
Government of Uganda has scoffed at the European Union and countries like the United Kingdom which have withdrawn aid and threatened to impose sanctions on individuals in government accused of human rights violations. According to some cabinet ministers, the relationship with the European Union and other Western countries is important but it does not give them the leeway to dictate how the country should run its affairs. This comes after the EU parliament passed a resolution on Thursday condemning government for human rights violations.
