Former Koboko woman MP Margaret Baba Diri lauded for her work
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa, has urged seasoned and experienced politicians to mentor young ones as a way of ensuring the country has good leaders for the future. Tayebwa's call came during a eulogy for former Koboko MP Margaret Baba Diri at her home in Kawempe. The MP, who served in Parliament for 25 years, passed away on Thursday. In his remarks, Tayebwa described Baba Diri as a person who had shown that persons with special needs could beat all odds when she contested and won office as Woman MP for Koboko, beating able-bodied politicians in the process.
