Health Ministry: Ambulance, manpower shortages hinder emergency response
The Ministry of Health says they still lack enough ambulances and manpower to support emergency health services across the country. In an Emergency Services Report 2023 that was launched in Entebbe, it highlights that motorists lack the basic skills to respond to emergencies, including road accidents, leading to avoidable loss of life. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Diana Atwine, says they are lobbying the government to improve the sector.
