Heavy security deployed in Arua as NRM mayoral primaries spark tensions
Security has been heavily deployed at Arua Central Police Station, where voters are protesting the delayed release of results for the mayoral race. Last night, during the tallying of results, supporters of the incumbent, Wadri Sam Nyakua, clashed with supporters and agents of his close rival, Lawrence Alionzi Dangote, forcing security to suspend the process.
