Judiciary introduces system to resolve longstanding family disputes
Judiciary officials report rising family and domestic violence cases in the court system, with some disputes unresolved for over 30 years. Judiciary Public Relations Officer James Ereemye Mawanda noted that some families face issues where deceased parents’ money remains in bank accounts, causing children to struggle with school fees due to family conflicts. Mawanda announced that an Alternative Dispute Resolution System has been introduced to help resolve such complex cases.
