Kassanda farmers thrive in commercial forestry
Commercial forestry is taking root in the farming community due to the huge financial returns farmers can expect from their crops, starting from two to six years after planting. However, the danger is that the substantial proceeds might entice farmers to abandon the production of food crops. GILLIAN NANTUME spoke to two farmers in Kassanda District who are now thriving in the business.
