KOCHI BRIDGE PROJECT:Yumbe leaders concerned about theft of construction materials
Yumbe district leaders are concerned about the continuous theft of materials at river Kochi bridge project. This has affected the progress of work on the bridge. The most recent case was the theft of nuts and bolts that are used to attach the steel girders of the deck of the bridge. Work on the bridge started in June, 2020 and was expected to take 12 months but the COVID-19 pandemic slowed it down. The project is worth 3.4 billion shillings.
