MPs call for speedy placement of motion on order paper
A section of MPs taking the lead to call for the censure of four backbench commissioners for allegedly sharing out 1.7 billion shillings as a service award are urging the speaker of parliament to recall the house to debate the matter, as soon as possible.
The call comes as the MPs wait for the clerk for some indication of when the matter will be placed on the order paper, days after it was filed with the clerk to parliament. The MPs say if the speaker does not notify parliament soon, they will be forced to petition the president. This was during a press briefing today at parliament.
