Nalukoola-Nambi case: Nambi seeks to nullify Kawempe North by-election results
NRM's Faridah Nambi Kigongo today made her final submission in the electoral petition in the High Court Civil Division, challenging NUP's Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola’s victory as the duly elected MP for Kawempe North constituency. Nambi insisted that the Electoral Commission should have held fresh polls for the contested 14 polling stations the following day, instead of declaring Nalukoola's victory in line with the Electoral Commission Act. In conclusion, Nambi asked the court to nullify the Kawempe North by-election outcome and order a fresh by-election. Jorram Paul Ssonko has more.
