New ULS President Isaac Ssemakadde vows to tackle legal injustices
The newly elected governing Council of the Uganda Law Society has pledged to fight for the freedoms of Ugandans, especially victims of land grabbing, the unfair taxation system, and torture. While speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the Council members today, the new President of the Uganda Law Society, Isaac Ssemakadde, revealed that for a long time, the legal society has not addressed the illegalities committed against Ugandans, which will no longer be the case during his tenure.
