Nkoko bridge collapse halts access to Kasese's food basket
Connections around Kasese Municipality to the surrounding Karusandara Sub-County in Busongora County South and Hima Town Council have been brought to a halt after the vital Nkoko Bridge collapsed. Kasese District Chairperson Eliphaz Muhindi explained that it is now difficult to access Karusandara Sub-County, known as the food basket for Kasese town and surrounding areas such as Hima Town Council, Mubuku, and Rugendabara-Kikongo Town Councils. Muhindi further noted that the state of the bridge has severely impacted residents' ability to access essential services.
