Opposition MPs task government to explain house chaos
The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has urged the government to table the Budget Framework Paper before the December 30th deadline. This came as Parliament held its first plenary after passing the Coffee Amendment Bill 2024 a fortnight ago. This prompted opposition MPs to demand an explanation from the government regarding the chaos that ensued during the divisive debate. The Speaker denied any knowledge of individuals mishandling legislators.
