Over 400 pensioners in Apac district demand their pay
More than 400 retired civil servants in Apac District who have missed their payment for the last four months have camped at the district headquarters to demand their pay. Apac District has a total of 940 pensioners. However, 433 are victims of anomalies in the payment system. Andrew Awany, the Apac District Local Government Secretary for Finance attributed the anomalies in the payment of the pensioners to the migration of their names to the new payment system.
