Parliament raises doubts over fake companies procured for verifying goods standards in Uganda
Members of the trade committee in Parliament have raised serious doubts about the existence of companies procured abroad to verify the standards of goods destined for Uganda. The MPs say the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics leadership may have connived to procure the fake companies. UNBS management admitted that the application of one of the companies, HQTS was objected to by the contracts committee.
