Parliament scrutinizes voter registration issues
Parliament has today referred matters relating to voter registration updates and verification across the country to the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee for scrutiny. This follows concerns raised by MPs about inadequate equipment used in the exercise, insufficient time for the process, and the reported involvement of Internal Security Organisation agents in the registration process. However, the government says the process is moving smoothly and they are on track to meet the 10 February deadline when the exercise ends.
