Remembering late Prof. Mutekanga who composed Makerere University’s anthem
Makerere University Council has started plans to create a memorial for the late Dr. Grace Wilson Igaga Mutekanga for his services to Uganda’s premier institution of learning. Dr. Mutekanga, who died from Cancer over the weekend, is mostly remembered for composing the university’s anthem “The Great Makerere” in 1986, as well as the growth of the university’s department of performing arts.
