Road safety activists call for review of fines in the Express Penalty System
The Ministry of Works and Transport has announced that traditional methods of police officers maintaining road safety will be reinstated following the suspension of the Automated Express Penalty System by the ministry yesterday due to public outcry. Road safety activists are calling for the government to review the penalty fees, taking into consideration the high levels of poverty in the country, in order to ensure that people are able to maintain their jobs.
