South Sudan implements visa-free travel for Ugandan travelers
The government of South Sudan has started the implementation of the new measure agreed by the two governments, where Ugandans travelling to South Sudan are free to travel across borders without paying visa fees. However, the Ugandan business community are still complaining about some other modalities and restrictions from the world's youngest country. Recent statistics indicate that Uganda exports goods to South Sudan worth 130 billion shillings, largely cereals, maize and wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oils, beer and soft drinks. Currently, South Sudan is still charging Burundians heading to Juba visa fees, yet Burundi stopped charging South Sudan Nationals heading to Bujumbura.
