Speaker Among cautions EOC on salary inquiry
The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, has cautioned the Equal Opportunities Commission against overstepping its mandate by involving itself in matters that do not concern it. This follows a request by the Commission for details of the salaries of legislators and Parliament staff, which was also made by the Public Service. Speaker Among has urged the Commission to refrain from interfering with their salaries and to focus on its designated mandate.
