Students and Belgian National arrested at pipeline protest
Police have arrested three students and a Belgian national who were demonstrating outside the Chinese Embassy against the planned construction of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline. The students, from Kyambogo University, claim that the pipeline will affect biodiversity and hinder tourism in the country. Police informed them that their demonstration was illegal before making the arrests.
