Uganda Caregivers demand recognition and support in HIV-AIDS fight
Caregivers under the Union of Uganda Community Caregivers Alliance have called for recognition in the fight against HIV/AIDS as Uganda commemorates HIV/AIDS Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and reflect on the impact the epidemic has had on communities globally. They have called for tangible support and assistance from the government and the Ministry of Health, as well as a policy regulating their work. They also reiterated the need for financial support to reach more vulnerable individuals.
